Biomarker Assay Development | Jan 31 - Feb 1, 2012 - San Diego, California

The increasing importance of biomarkers in drug discovery and development of diagnostics calls for a comprehensive biomarker strategy that must include assay development and validation. CHIfs Fourth Annual Biomarker Assay Development meeting addresses gfit-for-purposeh method development, spanning pre-clinical and clinical drug development, as well as diagnostics. The meeting will provide an overview of novel assay platforms for genomic and proteomic analysis, as well as multiplexed assays, flow cytometry, and biomarker assays in oncology. The Biomarker Assay Development meeting will also address the pros and cons of developing the assay in-house vs. adopting off-the-shelf solutions/kits vs. outsourcing. To emphasize the importance of bridging drug and diagnostic development, the meeting will be co-located with the Executive Summit on Drug-Diagnostic Co-Development.

Topics to be included, but not limited to:

  • Incorporating assay development into an overall biomarker strategy
  • Multiplexed assays
  • Fit-for-purpose assay development
  • In-house assay development vs. off-the-shelf solutions vs. outsourcing
  • Assay development for genomic biomarkers (microarrays, qPCR, genotyping, etc.)
  • Assay development for protein biomarkers (MS, arrays, immunoassays)
  • Flow cytometry and cell-based assays
  • Cancer biomarker assay development (CTCs, imaging, etc.)
  • Assays for single analytes vs. panels vs. signatures
  • Assay development using novel technologies

Scientists, clinical professionals, and strategists who wish to present their knowledge and expertise to their colleagues are asked to submit an abstract. Remember to specify the conference that you are interested in and please provide your full contact information.
