Global Information Inc. would like to present a new market research report, "2010 Logic" by Databeans, Inc..
According to a new report from Databeans, "Logic devices revenue for this year is expected to approach $75 billion, representing 15 percent revenue growth. Average growth for the forecast period will likely be 8 percent for revenue and 9 percent for units shipped."
Logic semiconductor components can generally be associated with the computing market; however, other attractive opportunities exist for these devices in other markets as well, including displays for latest consumer electronics and wireless communications.
Communications (particularly wireless) applications have created the largest consumption segment for the logic market itself sans microprocessors. The value of this segment is estimated to be $26.3 billion for 2010. Moreover, this segment also exhibits the fastest growth at 10 percent revenue growth for the entirety of the forecast period through 2015.
"Most of the new growth in the Communications market has been attributed to increasing wireless demand," says Databeans. "Wireless technology continues to drive the overall semiconductor industry to higher revenue levels. While the computer market is still largest for semiconductors, wireless applications have been outperforming the rest of the field, the other major markets, in terms of semiconductor revenue growth, and this trend will continue to accelerate."
