May 14th, 2010

Global Information, Inc. would like to present a new market research report, "Barite market in Russia, Ukraine and Kazakhstan (2005-2009)" by GS-Expert LLC.

Barite consumption in Russia in 2009 decreased 17 % in comparison to 2008. The drop is attributed to falling demand for this product from the oil and gas sectors, which generally makes up 95 % of total barite consumption. The share of imported barite in the market has decreased from 25% to 19%. However, GS-Expert expects growth of market demand for barite during the 2010 to 2012 forecast period. This growth will mainly originate from outside the enterprises of oil and gas sector that will be caused by predicted growth of volumes of prospecting and exploitation drilling. GS-Experts report discusses the barite market in Russia, Ukraine, and Kazakhstan and includes market research and analysis for this industry between 2005 and 2009.
