Abstract

REPORT HIGHLIGHTS

Global sales of sterilization capital equipment and filtration consumables were $3.3 billion in 2010 and $3.8 billion in 2011. This market is expected to grow to nearly $5.3 billion by 2016, a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 7%.

Capital equipment sales within the global radiation sterilization market were $347.3 million in 2011 and a CAGR of 6.9% is anticipated between 2011 and 2016, when sales are projected to reach $484.5 million by 2016.

A majority of sales are expected in gamma radiation equipment and consumables. It was worth $345.8 million in 2011 and is expected to reach $482.7 million by 2016, a CAGR of 6.9% between 2011 and 2016.
