Automotive Glass - A Global Market Perspective published by BizAcumen, Inc. in November, 2009. This report consists of Pages: 196 and the price starts from US $ 3450.
Abstract
Slowdown in automotive industry reflects in the demand for auto glass in the
OE (Original Equipment) segment. However, on a positive note, decreased growth
of automotive industry is slightly offset by concentrated high demand for
large vehicles such as minivans and pickup trucks and by increased usage of
automotive glass per vehicle. In addition, there is slow but growing demand
for safety and bulletproof specialty auto glass. Emerging automotive markets
are expected to register higher growth rates, as against mature markets.
Further, need for enhanced energy efficiency, increased security, safety and
comfort have led to increased demand for value added auto glass. High enduring
and high quality automotive glass continue to challenge the replacement market
sales. However, aftermarket use of automotive glass is shrinking and is being
replaced to a large extent by demand in Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM)
segment. This is mainly due to increase in glass durability that has led to
reduced need for replacement.
Emergence of large array of glass
including smart glass, automatic darkening glass, low-emissivity glass, solar
control glass, and bullet-resistant glass has increased market value of the
product. Particularly after the terror attack in US, demand for bulletproof
glass has drastically increased. An upbeat trend in energy conservation
awareness and implementation of the same through strict regulations has
enhanced demand for energy conserving auto glass.
These and other
market data and trends are presented in "Automotive Glass: A Global Market
Perspective" by BizAcumen, Inc. Our reports are designed to be most
comprehensive in geographic coverage and vertical market analyses.
