Market Research Report
The 2005/2006 Market Outlook for Insulated Wire and Cable (With Long-Term Forecasts Through 2013)
|
This publication has been discontinued on July 19, 2011.
Insulated wire and cable is an integral part of our everyday lives; it is present in things we use each day, although we may not be aware of it. In fact, insulated wire and cable products make it possible for us to use cellular phones, drive cars, watch television, operate everyday household appliances, use the Internet, turn on lights, and perform a variety of other common tasks. Primary end-use markets for insulated wire and cable include the communications, construction, durable goods, and electronics industries. One driving force behind the insulated wire and cable market is emerging technology. As technology advances, producers of insulated wire and cable are almost inevitably forced to adapt and develop new products to make things operate more efficiently, more effectively, and at a more rapid rate of speed. Without technological advances in the insulated wire and cable industry, it would not be possible for us to do some of the things we do every day. These advances make
it possible for us to communicate clearly with people who are thousands of miles and oceans away; to receive data and other electronic information in only seconds; and even to access hundreds of television channels instantaneously.
