Research and analysis highlights

Vanceinfo Tech represents one of the few Chinese services providers that has a chance of building the scale in the long term in order to challenge the Western and Indian giants. It was the first Chinese IT service providers to list shares on the New York Stock Exchange, and has enjoyed very rapid growth over the last five years.

Building that scale will take time though its revenue in 2008 was $103m, and while this makes it one of, if not the largest Chinese service provider for the Western market, it is dwarfed by not only IBM and Accenture, but by the India players such as TCS and Infosys, whose offshore success they are trying to emulate.
