Overview
Introduction
With signs of an upturn in the global economy and hopes for an increase in IT spending, Datamonitor has completed a major end-user survey, examining business outlook and future IT uptake amongst the world's leading batch manufacturers.
Scope
- This report is one of a series of three and covers one manufacturing sub-sector: Batch.
- It involved a major end-user survey comprised of 100 of the top 300 global manufacturers, across three sub-sectors: Batch, discrete and process.
- It covered 7 geographies: Benelux, France, Germany, Ireland, North America, Switzerland, UK.
- The interviewees were typically C-Level execs, CIOs, IT managers and LOB managers.
Report Highlights
The majority of batch manufacturers surveyed are either in a 'better position' than they were 12 months ago or are 'strongly positioned', with a relatively optimistic outlook regarding the business climate for the next 12 months.
On the supply-side, batch manufacturers are focusing on supplier performance, procurement spend analysis, supplier compliance and supplier enablement though standards.
Reasons to Purchase
- IT vendors can learn what projects & initiatives batch manufacturers are planning in the next 18 months & the vendors they are planning to approach.
- The study provides feedback & analysis of end-user sentiment, enabling vendors to keep pace with batch manufacturers & focus on areas that matter.
- The survey results allow vendors to understand the burning issues currently facing batch manufacturers and enables them to plan accordingly.
