Abstract

This report deals with the optical film market for BLU. There are in general four types of films for BLU: diffusing film, reflective film, prism film, and DBEF film. DBEF film, also called reflective polarizing film, is a trademark of 3M. As there is no competing product, it is usually called DBEF film. In case of diffusion film, new and promising lens type has been divided. In case of prism sheet, new and promising compound prism type has been divided too.

BLU films are generally categorized into diffusion film, reflection film, prism film, and DBEF which represents reflective-polarizer film.
