This study is based on input from 1,155 laboratory personnel who either
participate in their laboratory's purchase of antibodies or are users of
antibodies. Most survey participants are located in the United States,
although participation was open to researchers globally. The objectives of
this research are to identify points such as: types of research antibodies
used by laboratories, kind and number of applications performed with
antibodies, laboratories' budgets for antibodies, species used for research,
factors affecting the choice of an antibody supplier, distribution channels
for purchase of antibodies, antibody suppliers used, researchers' evaluations
of suppliers, and laboratories' unmet needs in regard to antibodies.
