Introduction

Abstract

"Global Retail Insights believes that increasing consumer desire for innovation and product personalization requires apparel retailers to shift to a strategy of brand differentiation — both merchandise and store. Product allocation must align to local cultures and consumption patterns, on a store-by-store basis, catching-up with the required process improvements that are necessary to allow for more frequent collections and in-season assortment dynamism," said Ivano Ortis, EMEA research director, Global Retail Insights, an IDC Company. "Delivering immersive shopping experiences while augmenting merchandise planning and replenishment execution capabilities will be the hottest themes in the European apparel retailing agenda."
