Abstract

This IDC study shows the results of the European WAN Manager Survey 2009. It highlights the views of 722 organizations throughout Europe and is one of five providing more insight into green IT, unified communications, ICT services, managed UC services, and hosted VoIP.

"The purpose of UC is to expand the scope of traditional communications possibilities. This wide scope means that UC is also vulnerable to the current economic crisis. However, it is possible to perform well in a weak market by focusing on pockets of growth, and this survey points to some of the key segments," said Roosmarijn Cornelissen, research analyst, EMEA telecoms and networking, IDC.
