Abstract

Shipment and revenue expectations are provided by country for cable modem termination systems (CMTS) and cable modems. Cable modems that are integrated in set-top boxes for the purpose of adding interactivity to TV services are excluded.

"Broadband net additions no longer are the main driver for the development of the European cable modem equipment market," said Jan Hein Bakkers, research manager at IDC. "The migration to DOCSIS 3.0 and increasing bandwidth are now the key factors that drive the market."
