Abstract
This IDC study analyzes the results from the hosting infrastructure
services section of the 2009 U.S. WAN Manager Survey. The
hosting infrastructure-related questions in the survey explore a number of
issues, including companies' use of third-party services, outsourcing decision factors,
service provider selection criteria, and use of cloud computing, with
survey results segmented by company size, industry, and corporate geographic
scope (U.S. only versus multinational corporation [MNC]).

services are gaining momentum, particularly among larger companies," says Melanie
