Western Europe: Infrastructure Technologies for SMBs, an IDC Survey published by IDC in December, 2009. This report consists of Pages: 20 and the price starts from US $ 6400.
Abstract
This IDC study draws on the results of the IDC
European vertical markets survey, carried out from JanuaryApril 2009 in
the top 5 Western European countries (France, Germany, Italy, Spain,
and the United Kingdom) among 1,193 companies with between 20499
employees.
This study focuses on SMB familiarity with IT infrastructure technologies,
and adoption and investment plans in the next 12 months.
The focus is on server and storage consolidation, system virtualization,
SAN, NAS, and green datacenter with reference to:
- Familiarity with the
technology
- Current adoption
- Plans of adoption (1224 months)
Survey results for the SMB
market are presented by company size class (2049, 5099, 100249,
250499), vertical markets, and for the top 5 Western European
countries (France, Germany, Italy, U.K., Spain).
"Awareness remains the main inhibitor
to the adoption of infrastructure technologies. According to IDC survey
results, familiarity levels have increased. Marketing campaigns and the launch
of dedicated offering tailored to SMBs by many IT vendors
are starting to pay off, but more has to be
done," said Giuliana Folco, vice president, European Industry Solutions.
