Japan Unified Communications Enterprise User Survey 2009 published by IDC in March, 2010. This report consists of Pages: 53 and the price starts from US $ 5000.

Introduction

Abstract

This IDC study, which is a translation of the Japanese report IDC #J10070101, presents the analysis of unified communications (UC) usage based on the findings from Enterprise Networking Equipment User Survey 2009, conducted in July 2009. In this study, we analyzes the utilization trends and enterprise users' perception on VoIP equipment/services and unified applications. The 2009 survey results showed that user implementation of VoIP systems/services did not differ from that in 2008. However, the overall implementation rate for unified applications increased, indicating high intentions to implement such applications in the future.

"Amid the sluggish market environment, UC vendors and sales channels should recognize that users' perception on IT spending has changed from platform to utilization methods. They should therefore implement sales strategies in accordance with this change in perception," says Takashi Manabe, research manager, Communications, IDC Japan.
