This IDC study examines the market for business intelligence (BI) software in Australia for CY11, including vendor revenue trends in the accompanying functional markets. The market for BI remains strong in Australia with a growth trajectory of 5.4% year over year with this set to continue through to 2016 at a 9.1% compound annual growth rate (CAGR). This growth will continue to be complemented by advanced analytics (AA) capabilities included in enterprise application architectures.
"The focus of software investment in Australia has been on enterprise applications," says Natalie Ng, associate market analyst, IDC Australia. "The forecast growth of advanced analytics software will not come through standalone tools but through continued spend on enterprise application architectures that include end-user facing analytics."
