The Nordic IT outsourcing services market experienced a mixed development among the Nordic countries in 2011. Norway had the worst performance with only 1.5% growth, while the Swedish market was strong with 4.8% growth. The consolidated value of the Nordic IT outsourcing services market was €8682 million in 2011, and IDC forecasts a CAGR of 3.0% in 2011-2016, which will result in a market value of €10,088 million by 2016.
"We believe that the outsourcing market will continue to grow in 2012 and during the forecast period, in spite of price-decreases caused by new technology, cloud and offshoring," said Nils Molin, research director, IDC Nordics. "The main drivers for growth is increased acceptance for outsourcing and a continued expansion of current contracts."
