This report focuses on research of current market condition of calcium
chloride in the CIS countries and forecast of its development. The report
consists of six chapters, contains 104 pages including 23 figures, 38 tables.
In the first chapter of the report information is presented on existing
technologies of production of calcium chloride, their features, required raw
materials. This chapter also presents data on major sources of raw materials,
directions and volumes of the supplies.
The second chapter of the report is devoted to production of calcium chloride
in the CIS countries. This chapter describes the requirements of existing
regulatory and technical documentation for the quality of calcium chloride,
and gives statistical data on volumes of production of the product in the CIS
countries, as well as in Russia (with division into solid and liquid), and
describes current position of the largest producers of calcium chloride.
The third chapter of the report presents data on foreign trade of Russia and
Ukraine in calcium chloride for the period of 2000-2011.
The fourth chapter presents data on prices on calcium chloride in the domestic
Russian market in 2002-2011and analyzes data on changes in export and import
prices on these products in Russia and in Ukraine in 2002-2011.
The fifth chapter of the report describes consumption of calcium chloride in
Russia. This chapter provides supply-demand balance of the product, sectoral
structure of consumption, describes current position of the major industries
that consume calcium chloride, as well as the current position and prospects
of the largest enterprise-consumers.
The sixth chapter of the report presents forecast of development of Russian
market of calcium chloride for a period up to 2020.
The Appendix includes addresses and contact data of the main enterprises,
producing calcium chloride in the CIS countries.
Methodological the work was carried out in 2 stages - "desk" research and
"field activities".
In the first phase multiple sources of information were analyzed, first of all
data of state bodies - the Federal Service of State Statistics (FSSS) of the
Russian Federation, Inter-State Committee on Statistics of CIS countries,
Federal Customs Service (FCS) of Russia, official statistics of railage,
sectoral and regional press, annual and quarterly reports of companies, as
well as web-sites of enterprise-producers and consumers of calcium chloride,
and the database of "InfoMine".
At the second stage the generalized data were verified and refined through
telephone interviews with specialists of the enterprises, mentioned in this
report.
All this has enabled the authors to identify a picture of the market of
calcium chloride in the CIS and its prospects.
