The report is devoted to investigation of current standing of market of
ferronickel in Russia and abroad, and forecast of its development up to 2020.
The report consists of five parts, contains 115 pages including 34 tables, 34
drawings and an application.
As information sources, data of Federal Service of State Statistics (Rosstat),
OAO "RZD" (statistics of rail transportation), Federal Customs Service, State
Customs Service of Ukraine (data on foreign trade operations), the Customs
Service of Kazakhstan, the State Statistics Committee of Ukraine, Kazakhstan
Agency for Statistics, a database of the UN. In addition, data of sectoral and
regional press, annual and quarterly reports of companies, web-sites of
company-producers, analysis and publication of various books, including
foreign ones, the database of "InfoMine".
The first chapter of the report is devoted to the mineral resource base of
quartzite in the CIS. The Section presents data on reserves of quartzite
region, as well as a summary of the main deposits of quartzite in Russia and
Ukraine. The second chapter is devoted to analysis of production and
processing of quartzite in the CIS. The data on the leading companies engaged
in production of quartzite in the region.
The third chapter is devoted to analysis of production of ferrosilicon in the
CIS. This chapter describes the requirements for the quality of ferrosilicon,
its production process, analyzed the current state of the main producers in
the CIS. This chapter presents the data volume of production of ferrosilicon
in the CIS countries and some countries, information on the status of major
ferroalloy plants.
The fourth chapter analyzes the foreign trade of the CIS countries
ferrosilicon. The basic direction of exports of ferrosilicon from Russia,
Ukraine and Kazakhstan, as well as the main suppliers of this alloy in the CIS
In the fifth chapter, the estimation of the consumption of ferrosilicon,
including in Russia and Kazakhstan. In addition, prepared by the forecast of
production and consumption of ferrosilicon in the CIS up to 2020
