Abstract
The research is devoted to analysis of Russian market of wood pellets and
briquets and equipment for their production to argue promising of both the
businesses.
The report is composed of 9 Sections, 171 pages, including 42 Tables and 20
Sections 1-2 present properties of wood pellets and briquets, their role in
power generation, based on renewable sources.
The Section 3 describes applied technologies of wood wastes processing.
Given in Section 4 information about resources provision of production of
pellets and briquets evidences unlimited potentiality of this power sector
development.
Appendices for the Section present detailed list of Russian enterprises,
capable to organize corresponding production. For convenience, author
calculated volumes of wood wastes generation for each enterprise.
The task of Section 5 is to demonstrate high rates of development of the
sector, and to show general approaches in formation of prices on pellets and
briquets.
The Section 6 presents detailed analysis of foreign trade operations in solid
biofuel and wood wastes, describes dynamics and pattern of their exports.
Section 7 is aimed at producers of equipment for production of wood pellets.
The Section describes in details: list of key production equipment, the main
players of market of the equipment, average prices on various configurations.
The Section is to be interesting both for producers of the equipment and
future producers of pelletized (briquetted) fuel.
Section 8 highlights importance of development of biofuel industry in Russia
and European countries.
Summarizing analysis of all materials, Section 9 presents expert estimation of
development of production pellets, as well as production, import and
consumption of equipment for their production up to 2013.
Key information sources of the research were materials of involved
enterprises. Added with data of Federal Service of State Statistics (FSSS) and
Federal Customs Service (FCS) of Russia, Minpromenergo, Ministry of regional
development of Russia, they allowed to evaluate situation in the sector in the
country as a whole. Additional information was taken from specialized journals
and handbooks: IEA Bioenergy, Bioenergy International, Eubionet, Nobio,
Bioenergetics, LesPromInform, Biofuel portal and other, data from open
information sources,
LLC "Research Group "InfoMine" hopes that the research will help specialists
in evaluation of current standing of market of solid biofuel in Russia and
