Business Strategy: Business Drivers and Process Improvement Imperatives in the Asia/Pacific (Excluding Japan) Supply Chain Management Market 2009-2010 published by IDC Manufacturing Insights in March, 2010. This report consists of Pages: 14 and the price starts from US $ 4500.
Abstract
This IDC Manufacturing Insights report presents the latest survey results
from Asia/Pacific (excluding Japan) or APEJ business and IT priorities.
The findings show a maturing of the supply chain, with
a greater focus on visibility and responsiveness.
According to Christopher Holmes,
vice president, Manufacturing Insights, IDC Asia/Pacific, "The supply chain process
has been fundamentally changed since the slowdown of 2009. The
strategy of selecting the lowest-cost supplier has been undone, as
the inflexible and lead times meant that companies could not
respond quickly to customer demand, leading to build up of
inventories, and drying up of cash flows. As we move
into 2010, the focus for supply chains is on, achieving
responsiveness and visibility into the supply chain."
