Global Information Inc. would like to present a new market research report, "China Computed Radiography (CR) Market Assessment and Outlook 2012-2015" by Maverick China Research.
According to CHINA COMPUTED RADIOGRAPHY (CR) MARKET ASSESSMENT AND OUTLOOK 2012-2015, a recent report published by Maverick China Research, approximately three-quarters of all hospitals surveyed own at least one computed radiography (CR) unit.
Arlyss Gease, report writer and analyst at Maverick China Research, commented: "Chinese hospitals made major investments in CR systems in the early 2000s, which is why the penetration rate is so high. Sales today are often made to hospitals that already own a system."
All CR systems shipped in 2011 were multifunctional units, according to the study. The fact that the CR market is shrinking means that it is no longer cost-effective for suppliers to carry dedicated purpose units. Of the units sold in 2011, 91% were single slot units. Multi-slot units are typically used to process larger numbers of images. As hospitals adopt new forms of technology, the need to process large numbers of images by CR is declining.
COMPUTED RADIOGRAPHY MARKET ASSESSMENT (CR) AND OUTLOOK 2012-2015 covers the key factors driving the development of CR equipment in China. The report examines patterns in the CR market and provides an in-depth analysis of the CR market in China. The report is part of Maverick Chinas newly launched Medical Imaging Report Series.
