The market for IC sockets has changed dramatically in the past two decades. World Semiconductor sales grew 10.8% in 2020 to $464B, rebounding slightly from the COVID Pandemic. They are projected to reach $550B in 2021 for an approximate 20% increase. There is talk of $650B in 2023. This benefits the IC socket business, particularly test & burn-in sockets.
