In 2012, the Italian production of kitchen furniture amounted to Euro 2.3 billion, recording a decrease compared to 2011 reflecting a contraction in domestic demand. Nevertheless, in 2012 Italy remained the second largest manufacturer of kitchen furniture in Europe and the fifth in the world with a progressive increase in the propensity to export. The European markets are the main destination countries while non-European sales have exceeded 26% and particularly positive performance were registered in China, UAE and India by the Italian kitchen furniture companies.
