Ryanair Holdings Plc (Ryanair) is a low-cost scheduled passenger airline company. It offers short-haul, point-to-point routes in Europe. Ryanair also offers various ancillary services and other services such as core air passenger service which includes non-flight scheduled services, internet-related services, and the in-flight sale of beverages, food, and merchandise. The company markets accommodation services, holidays, car hire, and travel insurance services. It also sells rail and bus tickets. The company's maintenance facilities are located at Dublin, Glasgow (Prestwick), Madrid, London (Stansted), Wroclaw, Frankfurt (Hahn), Kaunas, Seville, and Bergamo. Ryanair is the parent company of Buzz, Lauda, alta Air and Ryanair DAC. The company has operations in Europe and North Africa. Ryanair is headquartered in Dublin, Ireland.

Ryanair is leveraging digital technologies to transform into a travel tech company and become Amazon of Travel. It is focusing on modernizing its web and mobile solutions and has also introduced My Ryanair loyalty program to deliver better customer experience.

As a part of the strategy, in 2019 Ryanair signed a seven-year agreement with Vodafone as its technology partner. Over the years, Vodafone will help Ryanair transform its ICT infrastructure by offering business solutions, including unified communications, software-defined wide are network, cloud, IoT, and security services. About 95% of Ryanair's telecoms requirements covering 300 sites across 40 countries will also be managed by Vodafone Business. This includes hosting Ryanair's core business processes such as online booking, passenger boarding and in-flight transactions and supporting training centers, offices and data centers.

  • In 2021, Ryanair invested $59 million and launched its new aviation training center in Santry, Dublin. The training center is built in partnership with Airline Flight Academy (AFA), Ryanair's training provider. The center is equipped with three full motion simulators including a Boeing 737 MAX and two Airbus A320's, and fixed based training device for each aircraft type.
  • In 2021, Ryanair launched Day of Travel app that allows passengers to receive live updates and notifications about the airport, terminal, and gate information. The passengers also get live videos and webcasts from the company's operation center in case of any disruption and live updates on new departure times/reroutings. Further, it also provides passengers with access to their boarding passes, certificates, and other travel documents.
  • In 2021. Ryanair teamed with Version 1, a Microsoft Gold partner in data analytics and cloud platform to design and build a big data platform on Microsoft Azure. This enabled Ryanair to move and enhance its already existing data processes and deploy a central repository for all extract, transform, and load packages. Further, Ryanair utilized Azure Data Factory to collect data from various sources, including REST APIs, SaaS Solutions, SQL Server, and AWS S3 buckets.
