The objects of research are bromine-containing products: bromine; bromides of sodium and potassium; bromides of ammonium, lithium, etc.
This review is unique, as it uses an original approach to analyzing information.
This work is a desk study. Information sources of Rosstat, the Federal Customs Service of the Russian Federation (FCS RF), the State Customs Service of Ukraine, the branch and regional press, annual and quarterly reports of securities issuers, Internet sites of manufacturing enterprises and consumers of bromine-containing products were used as sources of information, a number of telephone interviews were conducted with representatives of these enterprises. Also, data from the State Statistics Committee of the CIS, the State Geological Survey of the United States, the British Geological Service, UNdata were used, and the Infomain database was used.
Chronological frameworkof the study: 1995-2018; forecast - 2019-2025.
Geography of the survey: Russian Federation, Ukraine - comprehensive detailed market analysis; a brief overview of the world market.
The report consists of 10 parts, contains 117 pages, including 39 figures, 39 tables and 2 annexes.
The first chapter is devoted to the world market of bromine. The section contains data on bromine reserves in the world, dynamics of bromine production in 2003-2017, major producers of products, prices and world consumption of bromine.
The second chapter gives an estimate of bromine reserves in the CIS. This section provides information on the number of bromine deposits, their geographic location, reserves and degree of development.
The third chapter provides information on existing technologies for the production of bromine, their characteristics and modernization.
The fourth chapter is devoted to the analysis of the production of bromine in the CIS. This chapter provides the requirements of the existing normative and technical documentation for the quality of bromine of various grades, provides data on production volumes in 1995-2018, tracks the dynamics of production of this product, describes the main producers of bromine and their current state.
The fifth chapter is devoted to projects on the development of bromine production in the CIS.
In the sixth chapter, foreign trade operations with bromine in Russia (1997-2018) and the CIS (2003-2017) are analyzed. The data on the volumes of export and import of the studied products are given, the regional structure of supplies is estimated, the data on the volumes of bromine supplied by exporters and importers are given.
The seventh chapter examines foreign trade operations with bromine-containing products in Russia, Ukraine and other CIS countries in 2003-2018 with an analysis of the volumes and directions of export-import supplies of this product.
The eighth chapter provides information on the level of prices for bromine in the domestic Russian market in 2003-2018, as well as analyzed data on changes in export-import prices for products over the past 10 years.
The ninth chapter is devoted to the consumption of bromine in Russia and Ukraine. In this section, the production-consumption balance of the products is presented, the sectoral consumption structure is assessed, the main consumers and the directions for using bromine are described.
The tenth, final, chapter is devoted to the forecast of production of bromine in the CIS for the period up to 2025.
The annexes provide addresses and contact information for the main consumers of bromine and bromine-containing products.
