This report is the ninth reprint of the activated carbon market research in the CIS.
The purpose of the study is to analyze the current state of the activated carbon market in the CIS and forecast its development for the period up to 2025.
The object of study is activated carbon.
Chronological framework of the study: 2001-2018
Geography of research : CIS countries; The Russian Federation - a comprehensive detailed analysis of the market, other countries - a brief analysis.
The difference of this work from the studies currently presented on the Russian market is a broader geographical and temporal framework - the market has been studied not only in Russia, but also in the CIS in the period from 2001 to 2018.
It should be noted that at present not all manufacturers of activated carbon in Russia provide reports on the production volumes of their products to the Federal State Statistics Service of the Russian Federation (Rosstat). A number of marketing studies devoted to the study of the activated carbon market are considered only by official statistics. This report more accurately assesses the current situation in the active carbon market, since information is also provided on enterprises not reporting to the FSSS of the Russian Federation.
In addition, the report provides detailed data on the quality characteristics of activated carbons produced by Russian producers.
Also, this report contains a brief description of the world market of activated carbon - data on the production and consumption of these products. Considered trading with activated carbon, identified the world's largest exporters and importers, studied the dynamics of prices for activated carbon in the period 2010-2018.
The report consists of 8 parts, contains 193 pages, including 36 figures, 66 tables and 2 annexes.
This work is a desk study . The sources of information were data from the Federal State Statistics Service of the Russian Federation (Rosstat), the Federal Customs Service of the Russian Federation, statistics of rail transportation of the Russian Federation, the Ukrainian gas transportation system, the State Committee on Statistics of the CIS countries, the sectoral and regional press, as well as Internet sites of enterprises producing activated carbon. In addition, during the work on the report, telephone interviews of market participants were conducted.
The first chapter of the report is devoted to a brief overview of the global activated carbon market.
The second chapter describes the technology of production of activated carbon, its properties, presents data on raw materials used in the production of activated carbon, as well as equipment for production.
The third chapter of the report presents data on the production of activated carbon in the CIS in 2001-2018. The fourth chapter is devoted to the production of activated carbon in Russia, it contains information about the current state of enterprises producing activated carbon - production volumes and characteristics of products, directions and volumes of supplies, as well as about the main financial and economic indicators of enterprises.
The fifth chapter of the report analyzes data on foreign economic operations with activated carbon in Russia (2001-2018), in Ukraine (2001-2018), Belarus (2004-2018) and Kazakhstan (2005-2017). The main directions and volumes of supplies of these products are determined.
The sixth chapter of the report presents data on the dynamics of domestic prices for activated carbon in Russia in 2010-2018, as well as changes in export-import prices in Russia (2001-2018) and in Ukraine (2001-2017).
The seventh chapter of the report is devoted to the analysis of the domestic consumption of activated carbon in Russia in 2001-2018. It shows the balance of production and consumption of activated carbon, considers the sectoral structure of consumption, identifies the largest consumers of these products. Also in this chapter shows the balance of consumption of activated carbon in Ukraine.
The final, eighth chapter of the report contains a forecast of the production and consumption of activated carbon in Russia until 2025.
Appendix 1 shows the technical characteristics of activated carbons from some Russian manufacturers.
Appendix 2 shows the addresses and contact information of producers and consumers of activated carbon in the CIS.
