The purpose of the study - analysis of current standing of market of activated carbon in the CIS and forecast of its development for the period up to 2025.

The object of study is activated carbon.

The chronological scope of the study: 2001-2016.

Geography of research: the CIS countries; Russian Federation - a comprehensive detailed analysis of the market, other countries - a short analysis.

The difference of this work from the research presented currently on the Russian market, are broader geographic and temporal framework, explored the market not only Russia but also the CIS in the period from 2001 to 2016 .

It should be noted that currently not all manufacturers of activated carbon in Russia submit reports on production volumes of its products in FSGS (Rosstat). A number of marketing studies on the market research activated carbon, considering only the official statistics. In this report more accurately evaluated the current situation on the market of active coals, because the information including about companies that do not provide statements to Rosstat.

Besides, the report provides detailed data about the quality characteristics of activated carbons produced by Russian manufacturers.

Also this report contains a brief characteristics of world market of activated carbon - it presents data on volumes of production and consumption of these products. Considered trade operations with activated carbon, determined by the largest world exporters and importers, the dynamics of prices on activated carbon in the period 2010-2016.

The report consists of 8 sections, contains 193 pages, including 35 figures, 67 tables and 2 appendices.

This work is a Desk study. As information sources, we used data of Rosstat, Federal customs service of Russia, statistics of rail transportation of the Russian Federation, the GTS of Ukraine, the State Committee on statistics of CIS countries, sectoral and regional press, and also Internet-sites of company-producers of activated carbon. Additionally, while working on a report conducted telephone interviews of market participants.

The first Chapter is devoted to a brief overview of the global market of activated carbon.

The second Chapter describes the technology of production of activated carbon, its properties, data on raw materials used in the production of activated carbon, as well as about the equipment for production.

In the third Chapter of the report presents data on volumes of production of activated carbon in the CIS in 2001-2016.

The fourth Chapter is devoted to the production of activated carbon in Russia, it provides information about the current state of enterprise-producers of activated carbon - production and characteristics of the products, directions and volumes of supplies, as well as key financial and economic indicators of enterprises.

In the fifth Chapter of the report analyzes data on foreign trade operations with activated carbon in Russia (2001-2016), Ukraine (2001-2016), Belarus (2004-2016) and Kazakhstan (2005-2016). It identifies main directions and volumes of supplies of these products.

In the sixth Chapter of the report presents data on the dynamics of domestic prices of activated carbon in Russia in 2010-2016, and changing export-import prices in Russia (2001-2016) and Ukraine (2001-2016).

The seventh Chapter is devoted to analysis of domestic consumption of activated carbon in Russia in 2001-2016. It is a balance of production and consumption of activated carbon, considered by the sectoral structure of consumption, determined by the largest consumers of these products. This Chapter also provides a balance of consumption of activated carbon in Ukraine.

In the final, eighth Chapter of the report presents forecast of production and consumption of activated carbon in Russia up to 2025.

Appendix 1 lists technical characteristics of activated carbons of some Russian producers.

In Appendix 2 the addresses and contact information of producers and consumers of activated carbon in the CIS.
