Description

This report is the 3rd edition of the study of the market for coal tar in the CIS countries.

The purpose of the study - an analysis of the market for coal tar.

The object of the research is coal tar, the report also covers the market for coal pitch and carbon black.

This work is a desk study. The sources of information were data from the Federal State Statistics Service of the Russian Federation (Rosstat), the Agency of Statistics of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the State Committee on Statistics of Ukraine, statistics of rail transportation of the Russian Federation, the Federal Customs Service of the Russian Federation, the UN database (UNdata), the InfoMine database. Also, data of sectoral and regional press, annual and quarterly reports of issuers of securities, Internet sites of enterprise-producers of pitch were involved.

Chronological framework of the study: 1998-2017, January-September 2018; forecast - until 2025.

Geography research: CIS (Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan).

Scope of the study: the report consists of 6 parts, contains 80 pages, including 28 tables, 22 figures and 1 annex.

The first chapter of the report provides information on the technology of production and processing of coal tar. Also in this chapter, the state of coke-chemical production in the CIS countries (Russia, Ukraine) is considered, an analysis of the supply of coking coal to Russian enterprises is given.

The second chapter of the report is devoted to the production of coal tar in the CIS countries (Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan) in 1999-2018. This section of the report provides statistics on the production of resin in the CIS enterprises. Part of the chapter is devoted to the review of the main producers of coal tar in the CIS (production dynamics, consumers, export activities), 9 enterprises are considered.

The third chapter is devoted to the analysis of foreign trade in coal tar in Russia and Ukraine in 1997-2018, as well as in Kazakhstan in 2006-2018. At the same time, statistics on exports and imports, directions and volumes of supplies, including the main exporters and importers (Russia, Ukraine), are presented.

The fourth chapter provides information on export prices for products in Russia and Ukraine in 1999-2018.

In the fifth chapter of the report consumption of coal tar in the CIS (Russia, Ukraine) is considered. This section presents the balance of production and consumption of these products in Russia and Ukraine (1999-2018), the structure of product consumption in Russia. The main consumers and directions of use of this product in Russia are also given.

The sixth chapter provides a forecast of production and consumption of tar in Russia for the period up to 2025.

The annexes provide contact information for producers and consumers of coal tar in the CIS.

Target audience of the study:

  • participants of the coke-chemical products market - producers, consumers, traders;
  • potential investors.

The proposed study claims the role of reference for marketing services and professionals who make management decisions in the market of coke products.
