This report is the sixth edition of tin market research in the CIS countries.
Market monitoring has been conducted since 1996.
The purpose of the study is to analyze the tin market - world, Russian and CIS countries, as well as its redistribution chains in non-ferrous metallurgy, ferrous metallurgy, and glass industry.
The objects of study are tin ore, tin concentrate, and metal tin.
This work is a desk study. As sources of information, we used data from Rosstat, the Federal Customs Service of the Russian Federation, official statistics of railway transportation of the Russian Federation, the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan on Statistics, and the State Customs Service of Ukraine; materials of the US State Geological Survey (USGS), data from the UNdata database, industry and regional press, annual and quarterly reports of issuers of securities, and also websites of tin producers were used.
Chronological scope of the study: 1996-2019; the forecast is 2020-2030.
Research geography: Russian Federation, the Republic of Kazakhstan, Ukraine - a comprehensive detailed analysis of the market; Belarus, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan - general retrospective analysis of the market; the rest of the world - general information about the dynamics and characteristics of the market.
The report consists of 8 parts, contains 94 pages, including 37 tables, 29 figures and the appendix.
The first chapter of the report provides a brief description of the state of the global tin market (reserves, mining, production, manufacturing countries, prices).
The second chapter is devoted to the state of the mineral and raw materials base of tin in the CIS countries, it presents the structure of reserves and characteristics of the main deposits.
The third chapter presents data on the production of tin ores and placer tin and the production of tin concentrate in the CIS. The section describes the current state of the main CIS tin-mining enterprises, as well as describes the enterprises that carried out production activities in previous years, but subsequently stopped tin mining, and new projects of the CIS tin-mining enterprises.
Information on the production of tin metal and alloys based on it in the CIS is presented in the fourth chapter. The current state of the only producer of tin in the CIS, LLC Novosibirsk Tin Plant, is described.
The fifth chapter provides information on foreign trade transactions with tin concentrates and metal tin in Russia (for the period 1996-2019), Ukraine (2001-2018), Kazakhstan (2007-2019), and other CIS countries (2007-2018).
The sixth chapter describes domestic Russian prices for tin metal, as well as export-import prices for tin concentrate and metal tin in Russia in 1995-2019.
The seventh chapter discusses the consumption of tin in the CIS. This section presents the balance of production and consumption of products, the sectoral structure of consumption, describes the current state of the largest consumer enterprises.
The eighth chapter of the report provides a forecast of the development of the tin market in the CIS for the period until 2030.
The appendix contains the addresses and contact information of the main Russian producers of concentrates, tin and its alloys and consumers.
