The purpose of the study is to analyze the market for continuous fiberglass and products from it in the CIS countries, identify the main market participants, and determine the prospects for market development.

The object of research is continuous glass fiber and products from it.

Chronological scope of the study: 2004-2020; forecast - 2021-2025

Geography of research: Russia - a comprehensive analysis of the market, CIS countries - a brief description

This review is the most complete among those presented on the information market on this topic, and claims to be a reference manual that replaces the data of the Federal State Statistics Service of the Russian Federation, since in connection with the change in the nomenclature of statistical reporting of fiberglass products, the data of the Federal State Statistics Service of the Russian Federation contain very serious inconsistencies.

The use of this data without further careful analysis can lead to poor management decisions by marketing services and specialists working in the continuous glass fiber market.

A distinctive feature of this study is that it provides a detailed analysis of the continuous fiberglass market, thus avoiding the mistakes made by the authors of similar studies conducted by other companies.

Currently, there are works on the market research market in which the authors summarize the production volumes of continuous and staple glass fibers, which, of course, leads to serious errors in the estimates of production and consumption of these two different groups of products based on glass fibers.

The second distinctive feature of this work is the breadth of the geographical and time frame - a detailed analysis of the production and foreign economic operations with fiberglass is carried out not only in Russia, but also in the CIS countries in the period 2004-2020.

This review is a desk study. The sources of information were data from the Federal State Statistics Service of the Russian Federation, the State Statistics Service of Ukraine, Belarus and Kazakhstan, data from customs statistics of Russia, Ukraine, Belarus and Kazakhstan, the UN data database, reports of securities issuers, materials from the federal and regional press, data from telephone interviews with market participants.

The report consists of 6 chapters , contains 227 pages , 103 tables , 44 figures and 2 Appendices .

The first chapter provides general information on the types of glass fibers, their properties, production technology, applications, as well as the main types of products based on continuous glass fibers.

The second chapter is devoted to the analysis of continuous glass fiber production in the CIS countries, it provides data on the dynamics of production in Russia, Belarus and Ukraine over the past 17 years.

This chapter provides a description of the largest producers of fiberglass, estimates the output of the main types of products, identifies trends in the development of enterprises.

The third chapter analyzes data on foreign economic operations with fiberglass and products based on it, provides statistical information on the volumes and directions of export-import supplies of Russia, Belarus, Ukraine and Kazakhstan; the main exporters and consumers of continuous glass fiber and products from it in Russia and Ukraine have been identified.

The fourth chapter shows prices for products based on fiberglass of Russian manufacturers, and also analyzes the dynamics of average annual export-import prices for the main types of products.

The fifth chapter is devoted to the consumption of fiberglass and products based on it, it shows the balance of production and consumption of continuous fiberglass in Russia, considers the main areas of application of products based on fiberglass, assesses the dynamics of consumption of fiberglass in Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Ukraine.

In the sixth and final chapter , the forecast for the development of the continuous fiberglass market in Russia for the period up to 2025 is given.

Appendix 1 provides contact details for continuous glass fiber manufacturers in the CIS countries.

Appendix 2 contains technical characteristics of the main types of fiberglass products.
