This report is the second edition of the Russian Rail Market Research.

The market has been monitored since 2005.

The purpose of the study is to analyze the market for rails for various purposes, primarily for railway transport.

The sources of information were data from Rosstat, statistical agencies of the CIS countries, statistics of railway traffic in the Russian Federation, the UN database, data from the industry and regional press, annual and quarterly reports of securities issuers, as well as the websites of rail manufacturers.

The report consists of 6 chapters, contains 63 pages, including 9 figures, 26 tables and 1 appendix.

The first chapter describes the main types of rails, provides a classification of rails and technical requirements, presents production technologies.

The second chapter summarizes data on the production of rails in Russia, presents the dynamics of production in 2010-2020. It also provides a description of the main manufacturers of rails in Russia, provides information on their production volumes, supplies to the domestic market and exports.

The third chapter provides data on export and import operations with rails in Russia in 2012-2020, showing the directions of supply of these products.

The fourth chapter provides information on the dynamics of domestic rail prices in Russia in 2010-2020, as well as the dynamics of export and import prices.

The fifth chapter is devoted to the apparent consumption of rails in 2012-2020. in Russia. The dynamics of their consumption is given, the regional structure of consumption in Russia is given.

The sixth section provides a well-grounded multivariate forecast of production and prices for rails in Russia in 2021-2028.
