This report is the sixth edition of a market survey of vanadium and vanadium-containing products in Russia and the CIS.

The purpose of the study is to analyze the market for vanadium and vanadium-containing products.

The object of research is vanadium-containing ores and concentrates, vanadium slags, vanadium pentoxide, ferrovanadium, metal vanadium and vanadium-aluminum alloys.

This work is a desk study. The sources of information were data from the Federal State Statistics Service of the Russian Federation (FSGS), statistics of railway transportation of the Russian Federation, the Federal Customs Service of the Russian Federation, the State Customs Service of Ukraine, data from UNdata, USGS, and the Infomine database. Also involved were data from the industry and regional press, annual and quarterly reports of securities issuers, as well as Internet sites of enterprises producing and consumers of vanadium.

Chronological scope of the study: 1998-2020; forecast - until 2030

Geography of research: Russia, - a comprehensive detailed analysis of the market; other CIS countries - general retrospective market analysis; the rest of the world - an overview of market dynamics and characteristics.

Research volume: the report consists of 7 parts, contains 110 pages, including 43 tables, 17 figures and 1 appendix.

The first chapter of the report is devoted to a brief description of the world vanadium market, provides data on world reserves of vanadium, world extraction of vanadium and production of vanadium products, the main producing countries and consumers, as well as world prices for vanadium in 2000-2020. The foreign trade operations of the countries of the world with vanadium pentoxide and ferrovanadium are considered.

The second chapter of the report describes the mineral resource base of vanadium in the CIS (Russia, Kazakhstan), provides data on reserves and main deposits.

The third chapter presents data on the extraction and processing of vanadium raw materials to obtain marketable products. In this section, the dynamics of the extraction of vanadium-containing ores and the production of commercial vanadium products in Russia (1998-2020) are given, the characteristics of technologies for obtaining vanadium products and the requirements for their quality are given. In addition, a description is given of the main enterprises producing vanadium raw materials and commercial vanadium products in Russia. The characteristics of new projects aimed at the production of vanadium products by CIS enterprises are also given.

The fourth chapter is devoted to foreign trade operations (1998-2020) with vanadium products (vanadium-containing slags, vanadium pentoxide, ferrovanadium, metal vanadium) of the CIS countries (Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Belarus).

In the fifth chapter, an analysis of Russian export-import prices for the products in question is carried out, as well as the current prices for commercial vanadium products in the Russian market.

The sixth chapter describes the consumption of vanadium in Russia. This chapter shows the dynamics of consumption of vanadium products and vanadium in general in Russia (2000-2020), data on the structure of vanadium consumption in Russia.

In the final, seventh chapter, the forecast for the development of the vanadium market in Russia until 2030 is given.

The appendix contains the addresses and contact information of enterprises producing vanadium products.
