The production of Sao Paulo State represents 50.8% of the total Brazilian production of ceramic tiles.

The Brazilian ceramic tile producers are bringing in innovations in ceramic tiles and have developed a BUb product, with water absorption ranging between 6 and 8%, which works with relatively high water content, This ceramic tile would serve both, wall and floor applications. The producers are also trying to transfer to the color manufacturers the responsibility for the designs and the setup of the production line to guarantee the quality and constancy of the ceramic tile products through time.
