Russia's development of mobile and cross-border commerce increases the growth of the country's B2C E-Commerce sales

Russia's B2C E-Commerce sales continued to grow despite the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, and more so in 2021 than in 2020. The country's retail M-Commerce also grew by 30% in 2021, building on Russia's development of mobile and cross-border E-Commerce. Russia ranks second among the fastest growing B2C E-Commerce markets in Europe.

More Russian consumers opted to shop exclusively in physical stores in 2021

Russia ranks among the top 5 countries for smartphone penetration in the CIS, according to statistics included in yStats.com's publication. Almost 40% of Russians reported having made online purchases and/or paid bills online in 2021, yet more Russian consumers chose to shop exclusively in physical stores in 2021 than in 2020.

Wildberries.ru continues its lead as Russia's most visited marketplace

The yStats.com report reveals how Wildberries.ru continues to dominate the online marketplace in Russia with close to 200 million worldwide visits, of which Russian visitors made up over 90%. Tutu.ru is a big player in Russian travel and tourism E-commerce, with Russian visitors comprising more than 90% of its views as well.
