Japan Business Analytics and AI Services Forecast, 2023-2027

This IDC Market Forecast provides spending projections for the Japan business analytics (BA) and AI services market. Both the Japan BA services market and the Japan AI services market achieved double-digit growth in 2022. In the BA services market, an increase in initiatives for data-driven businesses led to growth in data platform construction projects. In the AI services market, the diversification of use cases is accelerating significantly with the advent of GenAI. Takuya Uemura, group manager of IDC Japan Software and Services, said, "The development of GenAI will lead to the diversification and dramatic expansion of AI use cases, such as business consulting and business process outsourcing (BPO) in the BA/AI services market. This will be a driving factor for both services and IT services, from IT implementation support to operation/maintenance support."
