Japan Digital Business Professional Services Forecast, 2024-2028

This IDC Market Forecast summarizes the performance of the domestic digital business (DB) professional services market in 2023 and market forecasts for 2024 to 2028 by service segment consisting of two areas: business services and IT services. The DB professional services market in 2023 achieved strong growth in all areas - from consulting to implementation support services, such as systems integration (SI), because of domestic companies' efforts to digitalize their businesses and progress of modernization. IDC predicts that high growth will continue in all five service segments beyond 2024."In the domestic market, which is home to many traditional large companies, there is strong demand for IT modernization involving business process transformation that will drive market growth for support services. Meanwhile, in the second half of the forecast period (from 2026 onward), the importance of professional services that support the creation of new digital businesses will increase.
