Dentsu Stands at a Crossroads as It Considers the Fate of Its International Business

This IDC Market Note shares an overview of where Dentsu stands as it considers the fate of its international business. Dentsu announced its 1H25 results on August 14, 2025. Net revenue was flat (0.2% decline) in organic terms at ¥562 billion ($3.8 billion), versus a 1.8% organic decline in 1H24. Japan grew 5.3% in 1H25: The issue is the continued decline of the business outside Japan. Dentsu is clearly at a critical turning point, where a momentous decision must be made about the future of the non-Japanese business.
