Worldwide Data-as-a-Service Organization Domain Forecast, 2022-2026

This IDC study provides a sizing of the worldwide data as a service (DaaS) market in 2021 and a five-year forecast through 2026 by geographical region. It provides commentary on market growth and the emerging trends and provides actionable advice for technology suppliers. The data-as-a-service organization domain is one of six data domains in IDC's DaaS taxonomy (in addition to data marketplaces). As one of the most established areas within DaaS, growth expectations are modest over the 2022-2026 forecast period. "External data has been a significant tools during the pandemic and global unrest over the past two years. However, inflationary pressures and a resulting rationalization of organization domain data sources will inhibit this market for the next few years. This doesn't undermine the value that this data brings, but is a pause in the recent high growth curve," according to Lynne Schneider, research director for Data as a Service and Data Marketplaces at IDC.
