Another significant difficulty is the high viscosity of bio-based plasticizers. Bio-based plasticizers must have a low viscosity in order to be used in coatings and fibre impregnation applications. To overcome this obstacle, ESBO must create a low viscosity thermoset resin that will increase the cross-linking density across various items.
