An enzymatic cleaner is any cleaning product that uses enzymes to break down and remove stains. Enzymes are macromolecular biological catalysts that speed up chemical reactions. They are produced in the body and found in nature, breaking down proteins, fats, starches, and other substances. Bio-enzymatic cleaners use non-pathogenic bacteria and enzymes to digest soils, stains, and malodors. These microorganisms accelerate the natural process of organic waste decomposition without releasing toxic byproducts that produce odors. These cleaners are gaining popularity and getting looked at more closely by cleaning professionals due to their effectiveness and eco-friendliness. The bacteria in bio-enzymatic cleaners produce enzymes specifically designed to break down certain molecules (wastes or soils) into smaller pieces, which become "food" for the bacteria. The bacteria consume these soils and break them down into two basic compounds: carbon dioxide and water. Enzymes in these bio-enzymatic cleaners are not living things and cannot grow or reproduce on their own, like bacterial microorganisms.
Market Dynamics:
Growing demand for environmentally friendly cleaning products and growing use of cleaners in the domestic and commercial sectors are the major factors expected to propel growth of the global enzymatic cleaner market over the forecast period. The market is expected to be most prominent in the healthcare industry. This is because of the need to clean and disinfect medical devices before they are used for surgery. The enzymatic cleaners can be used to remove various soils on the surfaces of these devices.
However, the rise in preference of single-use instruments is anticipated to obstruct the growth of the global enzymatic cleaner market during the forecast period.
