The global refinery fluid catalytic cracker units (FCCU) capacity decreased from 14,632 thousand barrels per day (mbd) in 2017 to 13,987 mbd in 2022 at an Average Annual Growth Rate (AAGR) of 0.9%. It is expected to increase from 13,987 mbd in 2022 to 16,944 mbd in 2027 at an AAGR of 3.8%. The US, China, India, Japan, and Russia are the major countries that accounted for 66% of the total global FCCU capacity in 2022.
