GlobalData is tracking oil and gas construction projects with a total value of $3.7 trillion, from the pre-planning stage to the execution stage. Most of the projects are in the late-stages (pre-execution and execution), amounting to $2.4 trillion or 65.7% of projects by stage. Private financing accounts for more than half of the funding (56%), public financing accounts for 30.3% and public-private financing accounts for 13.6% of all the projects tracked by GlobalData. The majority of projects tracked by GlobalData are onshore projects, accounting for $2.86 trillion or 77.7%, with offshore accounting for $821.6 billion (22.3%) of projects.
