Worldwide Home Video Game Console Forecast, 2023-2027: 10th-Gen Systems Begin Taking Shape

This IDC study forecasts home video game console hardware, software, and services market through 2027 worldwide. 7th-, 8th-, 9th-, and 10th-gen consoles are considered in grouped categories. Packaged game discs/cards are broken out from digital game-related spending. Gaming subscription revenue and spending on paid games, DLC, and F2P games are also forecast. The study examines key market events from the past 12 months as well and offers market vendors advice and guidance."After contracting nearly 6% last year, we believe that aggregate home console revenue will rebound by about 3.4% this year.
