U.S. Laser A3/A4 MFP Forecast, 2025-2029

This IDC study presents a five-year forecast for the U.S. laser A3/A4 MFP market. Unit shipments, value of shipments, and average selling value (ASV) information is presented. Data for 2022-2024 is actual, whereas data for 2025-2029 is projected. Shipments, value of shipments, and ASVs in this study match data reported in IDC's 4Q24 Worldwide Hardcopy Peripherals Tracker Forecast."In the U.S. laser MFP market during 2024, A4 gained share from A3, returning to the long-term trend that had been disrupted by the COVID-19 pandemic, supply chain crisis, and return to the office. In the forecast, A4 will continue to increase its share of the MFP market. In addition, the shift from monochrome to color is expected to continue. Therefore, over the forecast period, A4 color laser MFPs offer the greatest opportunity for growth," says Geoffrey Wilbur, research manager, Imaging, Printing, and Document Solutions group at IDC.
