What Is an Agentic AI Platform?

This IDC Perspective defines a new software market category - agentic AI platforms - that has emerged in late 2025 and one that IDC expects will fundamentally reshape the enterprise technology landscape over the next five years. These platforms will help organizations build, operate, govern, and orchestrate AI agents.
