U.S. Laser A3/A4 MFP Forecast, 2023-2027

This IDC study presents a five-year forecast for the U.S. laser A3/A4 MFP market. Unit shipments, value of shipments, and average selling value (ASV) information is presented. Data for 2017-2022 is actual, whereas data for 2023-2027 is projected. Shipments, value of shipments, and ASVs in this study match data reported in IDC's 1Q23 Worldwide Hardcopy Peripherals Tracker Forecast."Although the supply chain crisis has begun to subside, supply chain weakness is expected to continue to impact the market through the rest of 2023, as vendors serve pent-up market demand while navigating a few more volatile quarters from their recovering supply chains," says Geoffrey Wilbur, research manager, Imaging, Printing, and Document Solutions group at IDC. "The market has already begun to resume its shift from monochrome to color, and, as the supply chain recovers, the market is expected to resume its shift from A3 to A4, as well. Over the forecast period, A4 color laser MFPs offer the greatest opportunity for growth."
