The knowledge graphs market stood at USD 1.4 billion in 2025 and is expected to grow at 25.1% between 2026 and 2032, reaching USD 6.7 billion by 2032. Much of that comes from a single job: acting as a contextual grounding layer for generative AI and large language models, cutting hallucination risk and making outputs explainable across semantic search, fraud detection, and customer intelligence.
Data complexity is the other force. Enterprises are pulling structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data together across production systems, cloud platforms, and customer touchpoints, and knowledge graphs turn that into relationship-rich, machine-readable representations. Relational architectures were never built to model or navigate those connections well.
The buying environment keeps widening. The U.S. Census Bureau's Business Trends and Outlook Survey found 18% of U.S. firms using AI in at least one business function during the November 2025 to January 2026 reference period, rising to 32% on an employment-weighted basis. Property graph architectures are also gaining ground in enterprise deployments, valued for flexible modelling and efficient traversal of interconnected data at scale.
Key Insights
Solutions hold the larger offering share at 70% in 2025, covering platforms and graph engines that build and query connected data. Services grow faster at 25.3% as firms buy in ontology skills.
Labeled property graph is the largest model type at 45%, favoured for modelling entities without triple-store ontology overhead. RDF and triple store grows fastest at 25.5%, pulled by regulated sectors needing standards-based rigour.
Unstructured data is the largest source at 60% and the fastest growing. Google Cloud estimates unstructured content at 70% to 90% of what businesses collect.
Cloud-based deployment leads at 65%. Eurostat put paid cloud use among EU enterprises at 52.7% in 2025, up 7.4 points from 2023 and 84.67% among large firms. On-premises grows fastest at 25.4%, on sovereignty grounds.
Data governance and master data management is the largest application at 25%, helped by the European Commission's Data Governance Act, in force EU-wide since 24 September 2023.
Virtual assistants and question answering grows fastest, as firms ground conversational systems in their own knowledge. Eurostat found 8.76% of EU enterprises using AI that generates language or code in 2025.
Large enterprises hold 75% of the market. Eurostat's Digital Intensity Index showed 96% of large EU enterprises at basic digital intensity or above in 2025. Smaller firms grow fastest as managed services cut entry cost.
BFSI is the largest end use, built on fraud detection, anti-money-laundering analysis, and model risk management. The Federal Reserve, Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, and Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation revised interagency model risk guidance in April 2026.
