GlobalData is tracking oil and gas construction projects with a total value of $3.8 trillion, from the pre-planning stage to the execution stage. Most of the projects are in the late-stages (pre-execution and execution), amounting to $2.3 trillion or 61.4% of projects by stage. Private financing accounts for more than half of the funding (56.9%), public financing accounts for 29.5% and public-private financing accounts for 13.6% of all the projects tracked by GlobalData. The majority of projects tracked by GlobalData are onshore projects, accounting for $2.9 trillion or 77.9%, with offshore accounting for $831.1 billion (22.1%) of projects.
