Dr Harrop BSc, PhD Physics researched at the United Kingdom Atomic Energy Authority, served as Director of Technology, Plessey Capacitors Worldwide. He was then Chief Executive of Mars Electronics which he took from $1M to $260M without acquisitions, gaining the Queen's Award for Exports. It was then sold for $500M. Chairman of over 15 high tech companies including quoted Kalamazoo plc. Turnaround, growth and good exit for $120M fiber optic company PINACL plc. He was awarded Fellowships of the Institute of Physics, Institute of Electrical Engineering and the Chartered Institute of Marketing. Dr Harrop has written technology/ marketing books for the Financial Times, John Wiley and Retail Banking Research. He was Founder and Chairman of technology of market analyst IDTechEx Ltd 1999-2022. Stepped down March 2022.
